Our Light Brahmas

The Brahma is an American breed of chicken. It was bred in the United States from birds imported from the Chinese port of Shanghai and was the principal American meat breed from the 1850s until about 1930. We are now proud to be bringing the breed back home to Asia!

The Brahma is one of the true gentle giants of the chicken world. It is not unusual for roosters to tip the scale at 6kg with hens not far behind at 4.5kg.

The Brahma is renowned for their feathery feed. even the newborns often have feathers straight from the egg!

The Brahma is most definitely a meat breed. Eggs, whilst tasty, tend to be small for such big birds. The meat is quite dark and has a good flavour, much like native chicken.

We only release our Brahmas at a minimum age of three months. Prices start at 2500 pesos per head. Delivery can be arranged (at cost) throughout Bohol.
